Pest control for hotels and hospitality businesses in Île-de-France

Hotels, guesthouses, residences: crisis protocols, HACCP compliance and scheduled prevention, without disrupting your operation.

The essentials

A hotel cannot prevent bed bugs arriving in guests' luggage: what it can do is detect them early and respond to a written protocol. ProDeratisation puts the whole system in place — housekeeping training, a room-by-room crisis protocol, two-visit treatment, an HACCP pest control plan and records you can produce at inspection.

A hotel, guesthouse or residence takes in travellers from everywhere every week, with their luggage. No screening at the door is possible: bed bugs arriving is a matter of statistics, not of star rating. What separates properties is the time between arrival and detection.

ProDeratisation works with hotels, guesthouses, tourist residences and serviced apartments across Île-de-France. We build the full system with you: housekeeping training, a written protocol for reports, combined heat and chemical treatment, a control plan that meets what a health inspection expects, and reports you can archive.

Our Booking.com guides

Each guide covers one specific aspect of pest control in rental accommodation, from spotting bed bugs to legal obligations, in short-term and long-term letting alike.

Why hosts call us

A written crisis protocol

An operational document for your teams: what to block, who to tell, and above all what not to move at the first report.

Housekeeping training

Your room attendants become your first detection system: they see the beds every day, long before your guests do.

Combined heat and chemical treatment

Dry steam on bedding and textiles for immediate effect, residual chemical action on perimeters and ducts.

HACCP compliance in food areas

A formal control plan, secured and numbered bait stations, a site plan and a register you can produce at inspection.

Work outside operating hours

Visits planned around your occupancy, early morning or after service, in unmarked vehicles and plain clothing.

Records that slot into your food safety plan

Intervention sheets, safety data sheets and certification documents, filed straight into your food safety management system.

What an untreated infestation costs

Spread through the linen

A mattress moved, or a linen trolley going from an affected room to a clean one, turns an isolated incident into a multi-floor campaign.

A damaged cleanliness score

Cleanliness is the sub-score travellers consult most: a review mentioning pests weighs on conversion long after the treatment ends.

Administrative sanction

In food areas, the absence of a control plan and register exposes the business to formal notice, or closure depending on severity.

Rooms out of service

Late detection multiplies the number of rooms to block and the number of nights lost during treatment.

The pests we treat

  • Bed bugs (mattresses, bases, skirting boards)

  • Rats and mice (cellars, bin rooms, refuse chutes)
  • Ants and pantry moths

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to close during the intervention?

Not as a rule. We work room by room and area by area, outside your peak periods. Only the rooms being treated are blocked, generally for 24 to 48 hours per visit.

Are your reports accepted at a health inspection?

Yes. We provide a site plan of the bait stations, dated intervention sheets, safety data sheets and Certibiocide certification documents — all the items expected in a food safety management plan.

Do you train our housekeeping staff?

Yes. We train room attendants and cleaning teams to recognise the signs of bed bugs and cockroaches, and to apply the essential rule: report without moving anything and without treating.

Do you respond urgently if a guest reports bed bugs?

Yes, seven days a week, within 24 to 48 hours across Île-de-France. From your first call we give you the immediate steps — block the room, move nothing, bag the linen in a closed circuit — before we even arrive.

Do you offer annual contracts for hospitality?

Yes, with scheduled visits, monitoring traps read at each visit, priority response to reports and consolidated record-keeping. It is the arrangement most franchise audits and corporate listings expect.

Do you also treat kitchens and breakfast areas?

Yes, with methods compatible with a food area: targeted gel bait for cockroaches, secured and numbered bait stations for rodents, and visits outside production hours.
